I'm so tired of going to the Doctor!
Hi, so... today we had like 3 different Doctor appointments. The Baby had to get his blood drawn for the Bilirubin thing to check for Jaundice... and he does have a little bit. I was thinking he looked a little yellow, and yep, he does. So, poor thing has to go back and get more blood drawn on Monday and hopefully the Jaundice will be gone. Now... I had said before that the kidneys are fine and they are pretty good, but I guess the radioligist did see a bit of reflux, where the right kidney is holding on to too much fluid. He had told us right after the test was done that everything looked great. But, I guess they did find a little something, so today the pediatrician informed us of that and we have to keep him on some antibiotics because of that. Then, we have to go down to Vegas sometime in the next couple weeks and take the ultrasound film and other tests on the baby down with us so the eurologist can tell us what we need to do now! Poor baby has to have so many darn Doctors look at him! I'm so sick of Doctors and I'm sure he his too! Then we had a consultation about the circumcision today! Gosh! The doctor was like, "it's not a necessary thing and it could cause infection... it's basically like getting a tatoo... there's no reason for it. It's just a social thing. So, think about it and make another appointment if you want to come back! " So, if anybody has input about that let me know! :) So, that's my spill for today.... you'll be hearing more soon, I'm sure!

We got Kayden circumsized. I think it's better to do it because if not you really have to keep that succor clean. That's a very difficult thing to go through, too. I cried in the waiting room while Jason stayed with him because I could hear him screaming. It's not a fun thing to go through. Good luck! hahaha
Ang, Do it... I think he would be pist at you when he is older :) I dont know though, but i would do it. haha
Ang, I'll try finding the medical complaint sites for NV and UT. I'd do it (if I EVER get to have a baby, and it turns out to be a boy), but I'd check for any complaints having been filed against the doctor your considering. In the last 3 months I've known a two year-old boy and a four year-old boy that both had to have their circumsisions redone. NOT COOL... that should definitely be a once-in-a-lifetime thing! As with everything, you just want to check as best you can and then have to have faith in the doc... that is if you decide to do it at all...
Hello and a Huge Congratulations on the recent of birth of your beautiful baby boy! Regarding doctors, appointments, and your baby... I'm the mother of 2 proud intact (with foreskins still attached) sons, now 15 & 8 the youngest born 11 weeks premature, so I understand the frustration of many appointments! I would continue to protect your son, and NOT have the circ done - if he wants one later in life it can be HIS decision. No one should EVER attempt to retract his foreskin - even ALL the doctors & RN's. Clean the area by simply wiping it (away from the body) with plain water. Trust me, he will thank you later for not removing the most pleasurable amount of skin he was born with, as my own son's have! This is one your doctor has right - think about it, it doesn't need to be done. Again, congrats.
Hey Angela! I really didn't mean to scare you or offend anyone for that matter. It is a difficult decision to make. Everyone has their own opinions. Kayden turned out fine and never had any complications or was even traumitized. Ask your doctor more about and take Carla's suggestion by making sure your doctor has never had complaints. There are pros and cons to both sides. I made it sound worse than it really is. I'm sorry about that! Looks like a lot of people have pretty strong opinions about this subject.
Sorry, one more thing. I just sent you an email. I got it from Kerri. I hope that's ok! Let me know if you got it. Oh, and you should check out the Crowther family blog I created. It's a good way to keep in touch with family!
okay, obviously I don't have kids or anything yet, but I can only imagine how painful it would be to become circumsized at the age of 16 or 18??! If I was a boy, and I wasn't circumsized like all of the other boys I knew, I'd probably be embarrassed. What does Arty think about it?
