Sand Hollow

Today we had a fun day at Sand Hollow Resevoir. I'm so sad I forgot the camera! :( We went with Randy & Diann and Family & We had a blast!  The kids loved it!  It was really their first time on a boat like that I think.  How sad.  This is so my kind of thing, I love adventurous outdoor type things...4 wheelers, jet ski's, skiing, tubing...u know.  I love to go to the lake and Tube and things like that.  But, I haven't done it much & it's been quite a while since I have.  It's not really Artie's thing, but with a little begging (okay a lot of begging) he went anyway, not really with a smile, but he went...haha.  Ammon didn't like riding on the boat much, but he had a great time in the water and playing on the beach.  Ashlyn did so good on the tube...she wasn't sure at first, but I told her I would go with her and she did it.  She went flying a couple times with the big bumps & she liked it!  Alley is so much like me.  She loved every minute of it, even when she's flying through the air...haha.  She loved the tube, so did I, I love going fast! =)  Alley and I both did the Knee board.  That was my first time doing the knee board & I stayed up for quite a while and it was so much fun!  I wasn't sure if Alley was going to be strong enough to do it, but she got right up on her knees and lasted for quite a while!  I so wish I had a picture!  Anyway, it was sorta a quick trip, but it was lot's of fun!  We then headed home, showered and headed to Degan's Birthday Party!  What a Fun Day!

Phoenix Trip: Met's Game!

The main purpose for going to Phoenix to stay with Patti is because Artie really wanted to go to a Met's Game.  Neither of us have been to a professional baseball game and Our team is the "NY Mets."  Artie's family have loved the NY Mets since FOREVER! =) So, we had the opportunity and went.  We might make this a family tradition.  Although, with 4 young kids, it's a little crazy!  Alley is old enough to have a little interest and she thought is was cool for maybe the first 3 innings =)...as long as the snacks kept coming the kids were pretty good!  We had a lot of fun even though the Met's got killed that game :( Aunt Patti's team is the Diamond backs of course and she probably didn't like sitting with all these Met's fans...haha.  There was quite a few too.  Thanks for the awesome tickets Patti!  We were right there down by Right Field.

Talkin' it out on the Mound
It's so cool they have this area called "The Sandlot" that you can take kids to during the game to play.  Patti and I took the "wild animals" there a little before the 7th inning and they had fun playing for just a bit.Adler was trying to climb up
View of the field from the Sandlot
View of Artie from the Sandlot =)  See him there at the top in his Blue Met's shirt, probably lovin' it there without the kids to distract him from the game =)
Our Fam- all decked out in our Met's get up!
I love this one of the girls...wow- they look more and more a like all the time!
You know how they show people kissing throughout the crowd on the big screen.  Well, they did that and then they showed this couple down over by where we were sitting.  He PROPOSED!  Awww... So cool!

During the day before the game we also went to the movies, we saw "Despicable Me."  It was so cute!  Even Ammon sat there the whole time and watched the whole show.

Anyway, We had such a fun time in AZ.  Thanks again Patti for letting us come and stay.  The kids didn't want to leave.  We can wait to do it again!

Phoenix Trip: The Aquarium

We had so much fun in Phoenix.  We stayed with Aunt Patti.  Phoenix is just as HOT as Mesquite but very MUGGY!  But, who cares about the heat...we had a BLAST! The day we got there we just hung at, relaxed and Aunt Patti has a pool so we had a lot of fun SWIMMING!  The kids loved it.  That night we had BBQ...Yum!  The next day we swam again and then went to an Aquarium.
So Excited about the Shark tank
Ammon loves Alligators...here he is checking out the White Alligator
Cool Tree Frogs
That is a giant Turtle
Oh No...they are trapped in the fish tank =)
The White Alligator
This is hilarious of Ashlyn.... at least one or more of the kids would fall asleep in the car on the way to our next Adventure.
We love the Sting Rays...We stayed there for quite a while.  Anytime we go somewhere with Sting Rays Alley is the only one out of the kids that will touch them.  They feel so cool!
We had fun at the Aquarium...I loved the sting rays and the White Alligator and the Sea horses were cool.  They had a ton of them and their relatives.  There were these stick fish that were swimming up and down like sea horses but their faces were on the bottom, so weird, I could have watched those forever.

Our Health is what We've Got!

I so love learning about Health, Nutrition, Exercise...I'm addicted to learning different exercises and learning different diet plans and how it works, etc.  I guess it's sorta a passion of mine and if I ever get my bachelors it will go along those lines just because that is what I like to learn!

But, we were sent to earth to receive a body.  We are suppose to take care of it, to allow it to function properly!  How do we take care of it?  Why do we worry so much about weight instead of actually worrying about our Health. Our health is what we’ve got. But, I think our society is so worried about “looks” more than being Healthy. Don’t you think? I do it to….”I’ll just look better and feel better in my clothes, in a swimsuit if I could lose 10 more lbs and be toned.” Of course that’s so nice, but what’s really going on inside our bodies, why do I feel so tired and sluggish, no enery..etc, when we eat that buttery popcorn or sugary goodness?? It’s our bodies telling us that it’s NOT HELPING THE SITUATION! It is hurting our health. I wanna have clear beautiful skin, keep my organs working properly and healthy for most of my life, not get sick often, I wanna stay young and active, etc, etc,. The food we eat and how we take care of our bodies determines that! Of couse, deep down we know that….but do we really think about it when we are eating that bag of chips, piece of cake, the pop, the…whatever it is. Fruits, veggies, fresh foods, good protein, good oils, complex carbs…water…that’s what we need, that is our bodies good fuel, what keeps it running and not shutting down. I think most people eat the stuff that very slowly shut our bodies down…. Of couse once in a while you’ve got to have that b-day cake or piece of chocolate, chips, icecream….but are you doing that mostly or the fruits and veggies mostly??? I'm definitely not doing the best I can.  I don't do horrible, but I have my moments.

This is my new motivation, I wanna live a long, happy, healthy, active life. I don’t want to worry about my bad health as the years go by, why I have no energy, why my blood sugar drops so fast because of what I ate an hour ago and now I can't function for the rest of the day….

That is my new motivation of WHY I want to eat healthy and my goal to work toward; eating better for my health, not just because it helps me lose weight, but because its what my body needs and what will keep me ALIVE & Around for my children and active AND feeling good!  I'm not perfect, I will not, never have icecream or a popcicle on a blazing hot day, but I WILL do my best 80 or 90% of the time.  I wanna teach my kids healthy eating & hopefully I can get my HUSBAND somewhat in on it too…that is the challenge!! hehe =) That is my speech for the day! LOL

WHAT? I can't believe it!

I'm in love with Tutu's & personalized shirts.  I could make them all the time with all the fun colors and styles...Love them.  I thought Ashlyns outfit turned out pretty cute!
This was Ashlyn's first friend party!  It was a crazy great time!  We had "Pinkalicious" Party and told all the guests to wear pink.  We had a bunch of pink goodies on the table, pink lemonade & pink cake (made by my good friend Natalie of course, she's my go to girl...LOL).  It was a lot of fun.  We played some games with the kids, had cake and icecream, presents, a treasure hunt- I had put together some goodie bags with a few toys and party favors that they found at the end of the treasure hunt and then we let the kids choose the candy off of the pink table to fill their bags.
Just a few of the decorations I made for around the house.I'm in love with these tissue paper balls.  So easy, cheap and cute!
The Party Crew- in front: Ammon, Javen, Gabby
in back: Bailee, Kiera, Joslynn, Ashlyn, Brooklin, Braden, Adler & Alley
a few of the party favors I made, bottlecap necklaces for the girls and keychains for the boys
Ashlyn got some fun gifts.  Mom & Dad got her a pink Razor Scooter that she wanted =) and she got some clothes, a fun game & toys. Alley was cute, about a week ago she made Ashlyn a bracelet and bow and wrapped it all up and then gave her money that she took out of her piggy bank.  She gave her a letter and this is what it said:  "Dear Ashlyn, I can't believe your turning five.  You are the best sister ever.  From, Alley."

Happy Birthday Ashlyn!  I can't believe you are already 5, where does the time go?  It goes sooo fast.  Now you are such a big girl and going to Kindergarten.  I'm so excited for you and can't wait for all of your adventures!  We love you!
